You may not be able to cast spells, but you can study the history of magic, it's practices, beliefs and write your own findings down for theosophical journals. You may not make contact with aliens, but you can study astronomy, research the history of UFO sightings and determine which are legit (as in something was actually seen, even if it wasn't aliens) and which are hoaxes. You may even notice something legit cool about our solar system you can publish. You may not ever discover cryptids, but you can research their lore, determine which are real legends and which are fakelore, have fun going searching even if just to disprove, and maybe learn something useful about animals and the environment. Knowledge doesn't make you a skeptic, it makes you enjoy the world more for what it is, rather than what it might be. There are whole new paths open to you now.
