moonlitstargazer Apr 16, 2025 phil8248 4mo Absolute legend I did. That is probably the most common question I get about this post. When it first occurred she had been dead for several years and I had more or less adjusted to what we call the "new normal". Life without her. But obviously I still missed her. While I have a very rich and fullife with my kids, my siblings and innumerable friends, the loneliness and sadness never really completely goes away. In r/widowers we say, "You never get over it but you can get used to it." But to speak to the original point, I did laugh when I first read it. It is a clever and funny remark. What's more l think my wife would have laughed too. She accepted her diagnosis with equanimity and even made her own share of dark jokes about her demise, particularly with our son. Hope you and yours are safe and well. Happy holidays. r/notinteresting Join u/phil8248 · 1y My daughter made me a button to commemorate my internet presence. Everyone chooses my dead wife 1,482 83 110
